What Path Profiler collects when you take the assessment, why, and how to get it removed.

Last updated August 2026

This notice explains what we collect on this website, what we do with it, who else sees it and how to have it corrected or deleted. It describes the Path Profiler assessment as it works today: a free questionnaire with no accounts, no logins and no payments.

What we collect

Everything below is either typed in by you or produced automatically by your visit. We do not buy personal data about you from anyone else.

  • Contact details: your full name, email address, phone number (stored in international format) and postal or ZIP code. These are required to start the assessment because we use them to send your result.
  • Profile details: your age, preferred work style, ambition level, monthly income goal, available startup capital and launch timeline. Every one of these is optional except work style and ambition level.
  • Your answers: for each question, the option you chose or the 1–7 value you selected, and when you answered it.
  • Your result: the dimension scores we calculate from your answers and the founder profile they match.
  • Consent record: which channels you agreed to (SMS, email and marketing), the exact wording of the consent you were shown, the IP address it came from and the time you gave it.
  • Technical and campaign details: your IP address, your browser’s user agent string, and any campaign tags on the link you arrived through (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term and utm_content).
  • Offer clicks: when you click a recommended offer we record which offer it was, the assessment session it came from, your IP address, your user agent and the time, and then send you to the advertiser.
  • Email delivery records: the address we sent your result to and whether the message was sent successfully, so we can tell if your result actually reached you.

We do not ask for a date of birth, a government ID, bank or card details, your address beyond a postal code, your gender, or your marital, housing or education status.

Age

Age is an optional field. If you choose to fill it in, we accept a whole number between 16 and 100 and store that number. We do not ask for a date of birth, we do not verify age, and there is no requirement to be 18 to take the assessment. The website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, email us and we will delete it.

Why we use it

  • To score your answers and produce your founder profile.
  • To email you your result and the link to your result page.
  • To send you follow-up recommendations, offers and business content by email, SMS and phone, where you gave us consent to do so.
  • To choose which offers to show you and to count how often each offer is clicked.
  • To keep the form usable: rate limiting, a hidden honeypot field and a timing check help us discard automated submissions.
  • To keep a record that you consented, and to honour opt-out requests.

Cookies and tracking

We use a first-party session cookie and a CSRF token cookie. They keep your place in the assessment and protect the form from cross-site request forgery; they are not used for advertising. We do not run Google Analytics, advertising pixels or any other third-party tracker on this website, so there is no cross-site tracking here for a “Do Not Track” signal to switch off. Clearing your browser cookies will lose your place in an assessment you have not finished.

The profile form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile. Cloudflare receives your IP address and browser information in order to decide whether the submission is automated, and may set its own storage in your browser.

Fonts and scripts are served from this website rather than from a third-party CDN.

Who else sees your information

  • Our email delivery provider, which handles the messages we send to you.
  • Our lead management partner. When that integration is switched on, we send your name, email address, phone number, postal code, age, profile answers, consent flags and timestamp, and your resulting scores and founder profile, to the partner that manages our follow-up.
  • Our hosting and infrastructure providers, which store the database and run the website on our behalf.
  • Advertisers you choose to visit. Clicking an offer sends you to the advertiser’s own site. We do not include your name, email address or phone number in that link — but once you are on their site, their privacy policy applies, not ours.
  • Authorities or advisers, where we are legally required to disclose information, or need to in order to establish or defend a legal claim.
  • A buyer or successor, if the business or its assets are sold or transferred.

We do not sell your personal information. Your mobile phone number and your SMS opt-in consent are not shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

How long we keep it

We keep your contact details, answers and result for as long as we run the assessment and stay in touch with you, and for as long afterwards as we need them to show that you consented to be contacted. If you ask us to delete your information we will do so, apart from the minimum record needed to keep you off our contact lists.

Your choices

  • Do not submit. The assessment is voluntary. If you do not want to give us your contact details, do not complete the profile form — we cannot produce or send a result without them.
  • Email. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link that stops further email from us.
  • SMS. Reply STOP to any text message to stop further messages, or HELP for help.
  • Access, correction and deletion. Email us and tell us what you would like: a copy of what we hold, a correction, or deletion. Please write from the email address you used, or include the phone number you gave us, so we can find the right record.

Depending on where you live — for example, California — you may have additional rights to know what we collect, to have it deleted, or to opt out of its being shared. We apply the choices above to everyone who asks, wherever they live. Use the same address to make a request.

Security

The website is served over an encrypted connection, and the administration dashboard where staff can see submissions is restricted to authorised staff accounts. No website can promise perfect security, so please do not send us sensitive information such as financial or health details through this site — we do not need it.

Changes to this notice

If we change what we collect or what we do with it, we will update this page and change the “Last updated” date shown at the top.
